This will be a blog for our fans to comment and keep current with the daily activities of the organization and the people within it.  It is meant to be an easy way to interact with and be a part of something that we feel is very special.  We look forwad to meeting you and hope that we can move forward together!  We are currently looking for people that would like to take a leadership role in aiding us with the social networking arm of our organization.  If you are interested, please contact us.

Western New York FC

Fast Facts

Western New York FC:

1.      A not-for-profit organization that focuses on creating the strongest women’s soccer club as well as amateur player development

2.      Home venue is the 12,000 seat PAETEC Park in Rochester, NY

3.      The first Head Coach and General Manager is Shek Borkowski

4.      Players include women from Spain, Mexico, South Africa, Cameroon, Canada, and the United States

5.      There will be 10 home games played from April to August

6.      This is a collaborative effort that merges the infrastructure and franchise of Rochester Rhinos Women’ Organization with the players and coaching staff of FC Indiana

 

Shek Borkowski:

1.      Played professionally in the Polish Second Division

2.      Has an overall record of 76-8-4 over the last four years outscoring opponents 347-36

3.      Has won 4 championships over the last three years including 2 US Open Cup Championships

4.      Has wins over full national teams from New Zealand, Trinidad & Tobago, the 2007 World  Cup quarterfinalists Australia, Mexico, and Canada

Rochester Rhinos Women:

1.      Franchise was started in 1998

2.      Was originally call the Rochester Ravens

3.      Franchise was purchase by the Rochester Rhinos in 2006

4.      Last playoff appearance was 2007

FC Indiana:

1.      Franchise started in 2000

2.      Currently ranked 5^th  of the Top 20 Women’s Clubs in the World by Women’s World Football Rankings

3.      Is the current 2008 US Open Cup Champions

4.      Has won 4 championships in the last 3 years

5.      In 2008, was undefeated in W-league regular season play with 67 goals for and 3 goals against.  Lost 2-1 in Championship game.
